Hypnotherapy allows us to access the subconscious mind, which is where all of our beliefs, memories, emotions, and automatic bodily functions are stored. 

 Once we have learned something on a conscious level, it is then stored in our subconscious mind. I facilitate your accessing of the subconscious mind by relaxing you into a deep alpha or theta brainwave state. These are the brainwave states responsible for creative flow, dreaming, and meditation, and we pass through them each day upon waking and going to sleep. Once you are in this state, we work together to uncover any beliefs, thoughts, patterns, emotions, or memories that may be hindering whatever it is that you are looking to achieve in your everyday life.

Think of your conscious mind as the gatekeeper to this powerful storehouse of information. Through relaxing this part of your mind, we are able to get the subconscious mind to let go of it’s grip on outdated information and accept suggestions and ideas that are beneficial and healthy for the client's mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

What to Expect in a Hypnosis Session

The experience of hypnosis tends to be one of deep relaxation. After a session people often comment that they feel lighter, blissed-out, or just generally “better.”

You can expect to feel relaxed on a mental and physical level as we begin sessions with a body scan where you are invited to release any tension throughout your body. As the journey continues, it’s possible to experience any number of sensations, as it is an experience that engages the mind and body. Breathing becomes slow and deep as you relax even deeper. Feelings of floating, warmth, or tingling are common, and some may experience dream-like visions and altered time when in a state of trance. 

In most sessions, I will ask you questions about your experience and help you to sharpen the details, and in others, you may just relax and receive suggestions. Hypnotic treatments are tailored to each client’s needs and I will always keep you informed on what to expect before each session.

Following your session, you may remember all of what was said, or you may just have a general sense of what happened. The proof of the experience is in what unfolds in the days, weeks, and months following, and the transformations can feel quite miraculous.
